And clean up your room first!

Dad wants to have his son killed. Not much new in that. The reason? Son upset father over disagreements about religion. Not new either. Religion in question that leads to dad wanting son to be killed? Islam. A very old story.

The family of Al-Azhar student Abdul Kareem Nabeel Suleiman, accused of "contempt of religion", has disowned him before his court verdict session on the upcoming Thursday. His father, a retired mathematics teacher, has demanded applying the Sharia [Islamic law] ruling on him by giving him three days to repent, followed by having him killed if he does not announce his repentance.

Yes, my father wanted to kill me. I asked to borrow $20.00 to go out on Saturday evening. He said: "$20.00? Do you know how long I have to work to make $10.00? Why should I lend you $5.00? And what would you waste that $2.00 on anyway? All right, take the fifty cents, but don't spend it all in one place."

Some things never change.
