The brutal reality that cannot be spoken, lest it undo the fanciful authority of our appeasing elites

Fitzgerald: The New York Times, and That Business At the Cathedral In Cordoba - Jihad Watch - Hugh Fitzgerald, quoted below, tells us what happened, at the end of his long but worthwhile account of what the New York Times will never talk about....
A deliberately-planned display of Muslim force took place in the cathedral of Cordoba on April 2, in the very middle of Holy Week, the holiest time of the year for Christians. Nearly 120 Muslims from Austria slowly filtered into the cathedral, so as not to attract the attention of guards and, using walkie-talkies, arranged to meet at a certain time, in one of the naves of the cathedral. There a number of them began, in the hush of the Christian services, to turn toward Mecca and prostrate themselves, and to loudly chant in unison. When asked by the security guards to please stop, they refused, and began to threaten the guards who, in turn, had to call for reinforcements from the Spanish police. When the Spanish police arrived, thus further disrupting the holy hush of ancient sacrifice, and the spiritual tranquility of the Christian worshippers, they found the Muslims unwilling to stop. At least one pulled out a knife, and at least two of the Spanish guards, one policeman and one from the cathedral detail, were wounded sufficiently to go to the hospital.

And here's Phyllis Chesler also telling what the MSM won't.

Unbelievable!!! I lived in Córdoba for a year in 2004 as a student and went back last year. In all that time I noticed one thing: the majority of the people have a Disneyfied idea of what the Islamic domination was and therefore they lack even the slightest clue of what they would ahve to give up whether the Al Andaluz kingdom would come to life again there. I call it the stupidification of the modern left, and in Córdoba this gets a weird flavor. My reading is that "that" episode is just the beginning, and even as a cold run it sounds brutally crude. There is a Chinese proverb that says: "may you live in interesting times!"; I think we can be sure of that now...

Well, i guess the tourism industry can be a source of too much golden reverie. But, having watched the popular understanding of Aztec blood sacrificial religion change over the years, who knows what can happen in Cordoba?

How to square the Spanish government's obsession with Palestinian "rights" (including the "right" of return) with ever increasing Islamic claims on Spanish territory? We know that once a part of Dar al-Islam, always a part. Will the Spanish government eventually concede parts of Spain to the descendents of al-Andalus?

The Muslims will not be satisfied until the entirety of Spain is under Sharia law, and Islam is supreme. In fact, the goal of Islam is to impose its ideology on every country in Europe, and ultimately the entire world. The Qu'ran and Hadiths give mon-Muslims three choices: (1) convert to Islam, (2) pay the Jizya tax and exist as subservient Dhimmis, or (3) fight and be killed.

Muslims have killed 270 million Infidels since Muhammad's raids, and they are determined to conquer the world for Allah.
