Truepeers writes in the post immediately below of rioting in the streets of Europe, not by the rabble but this time by the people fed up with the stale lies of state. The natives will no longer swallow the rubbish given them by the ruling classes. The time is short now. Will the New Ruling Class find their way to a rational convent with the people and their nations, or will they end up with a new "Former Republic of ...."?
Cue the music.
We are still living in the Age of Irony. Who would have guessed it thirty years ago that a group of East End yobs with Leftie pretensions would give us in the early 21st century some really excellent dance-tune anthems for European Nativism? In the name of the people I hereby appropriate some Clash tune lyrics. As Emma Goldmund might once have said; "I don't want a dance I can't revolt to."

"White Riot"
(Strummer/Jones)
White riot - I wanna riot
White riot - a riot of my own
White riot - I wanna riot
White riot - a riot of my own
Black people gotta lot a problems
But they don't mind throwing a brick
White people go to school
Where they teach you how to be thick
An' everybody's doing
Just what they're told to
An' nobody wants
To go to jail!
All the power's in the hands
Of people rich enough to buy it
While we walk the street
Too chicken to even try it
Everybody's doing
Just what they're told to
Nobody wants
To go to jail!
Are you taking over
or are you taking orders?
Are you going backwards
Or are you going forwards?

Yeah, well, maybe they're not Shakespearean.
The shareef dont like it
Rockin the casbah
Rock the casbah
The shareef dont like it
Rockin the casbah
Rock the casbah
By order of the prophet
We ban that boogie sound
Degenerate the faithful
With that crazy casbah sound
But the bedouin they brought out
The electric camel drum
The local guitar picker
Got his guitar picking thumb
As soon as the shareef
Had cleared the square
They began to wail

Now that's what I call moderate Islam.
Sometimes a song title is just too good to pass up. I once before posted the lyrics to "Rock the Casbah" and later, on the day after 7/7, I found the lyrics to "London Burning." Now I'm doing more. Seems I'm a Clash fan. Who'da thunk it?
